Shortly after the March 2020 meetup (Meetup 009) the governor of New Mexico ordered a stay at home order. Which limited large gatherings to no larger than five people.

So we decided to take the meetup online!

We ended up installing Ubuntu 18.04.3 and ran a Jitsi-meet docker container. This allowed a Zoom-like experience, except we are self-hosting.

You can connect to the chatroom by using the latest Firefox or Chromium-based browser. If you are on a desktop or laptop, no other software is required to join.

If you connect over a smartphone, download Jitsi-meet app from your local app store. I was also able to join with the latest version of Firefox on Android.
